PNG AYHQ Hauna

Thanks for stopping by to check out this custom scenery for X-Plane 11, and special thanks to Ryan, aka Missionary Bush Pilot for letting us viewers “ride along” to this unique place. Hauna is a small grass airstrip in the East Sepik region of Paupa New Guinea, 4°17’57″S / 142°13’49″E. There is one runway 03/21, approximately 1600 ft (480m) long, elevation approximately 60 ft. and generally a left-hand traffic pattern. There are no severe terrain restrictions in the immediate area. I did a short sample flight around the circuit to demo this addon scenery in X-Plane/VR, watch here.

Installation instructions:
This scenery package is designed and tested with X-Plane 11.41 and 11.50b11, using Ortho4XP for satellite imaged terrain. The files linked here are designed to recreate what is seen in the images above. If you have a different simulator setup your results may vary and support may be limited. Thanks to MelvinLeroy for testing.

Download the airport scenery here – PNG AYHQ Hauna.zip
The contents of this .zip file (the folder “PNG AYHQ Hauna”) should be copied to your X-Plane 11/Custom Scenery folder.

Download the DWS Library here – DWS_Library.zip
The contents of this .zip file (the folder “DWS_Library”) should be copied to your X-Plane 11/Custom Scenery folder.

Download the Hauna Ortho4XP modifed OSM and patch data here – PNG-AYHQ-Hauna-Ortho4XP. I’d recommend these settings for Ortho4XP. If you’re not familiar with how to use these files, I’ve created a “short” video showing how to use Ortho4XP and how to use these files (you should be an expert after watching).

If you’re still stuck, send me a message on my Discord channel and I’ll do my best to get you heading in the right direction!

Safe flying (real or virtual) and look for more PNG adventures to come.
